Great Burritos!! I liked that someone came by and took my order while waiting in a line of cars so that it was ready when I got to the window to pay for my order.

Burritos are very good, tortillas are hot and fresh. Definitely going back.

This is 5 star food but the wait times can be brutal. The staff are wonderful and the carne guisada is so good.

I come here about once a week and it’s a good experience every time! The people that work here are very nice, the food is great, and they’ve never messed up an order for me or my friends. Definitely the best La Popular in Abilene.

Always looks dirty and the food doesnt look anything like the pictures. Just go to Fuzzys Taco instead the food and service are so much better.

Best burrito shop in abilene

So usually whenever I come here, I understand sometimes there will be a wait, in this case for me it was 30 minutes. Which is fine, I went to work and started to eat it... But I am upset that the only burrito I ordered wasn't made right. I had asked for a bacon potato and cheese with cilantro and got a bacon potato and cheese with ONIONS. blehh, wasn't for me. I'm not mad at y'all because everytime I had come before, it's always been right, but now my breath is going to smell like onions all day :(

Real damn delicious. My Abilene buddies have constantly hyped up this establishment multiple times, and I finally got a taste of La Pop. I ordered the puffy tacos with rice beans. Flavor Town, population: Joe Jr. Add some red salsa to intensify your meal. The rice was okay, but the beans were the cherry on top. I also had a side burrito that consisted of: bacon, potato, bean, & cheese. The bacon was crispy and the beans were as mentioned above!!

A great place to grab a quick delicious bite

Only possible downsides are wait time, amount of food for the price, and them running out of lemonade. Otherwise you can't go wrong swinging by here. The salsa is something else, if you don't want to eat it just for elsewhere because you're doing yourself a disservice. Get a lemonade. I don't care if you're allergic to lemons, get a lemonade. Staff is always speedy, sometimes they're just bogged down. Food is very consistent. Tortillas are very sturdy and soft, always cooked right. Consistency across several locations as well, always nice to see.

I read about this place in Tacos of Texas,a 440 page book detailing some of the best tacos in Texas. On a business trip I stopped in for the carne guisada tacos. It did not disappoint, as the book stated, tender chunks of beef in a creamy mexican brown gravy all wrapped in a fresh flour tortilla. If the rest of the menu is anywhere near this flavorful you can't go wrong. Quick, delicious, and inexpensive. Counter staff was very nice. Go get one now!

I love La Popular bakery. It has some of the very best breakfast burritos in town and the price is very reasonable. If you're looking for a quick, cheap bite, then I recommend La Popular as a great spot to enjoy some Mexican dishes. Just be wary that there may be a long line, this is a good sign at any restaurant!

Love this place fast and convenient even during a rush longest ever waited is 5 minutes and that was due to being in line

Quick service with varied food options and drinks. The restaurant may be a little small but the customers are in and out. Love the tamale plate!

Barbacoa tasted different not a good different either. Drive thru time was almost 20 minutes

Love this place. Order up a burrito and a couple dozen hot, fresh tortillas and you'll walk away happy as can be. Good people. Good food. Done right. What else can you say.

If La Popular is open, there's normally a lengthy line for the drive thru. Despite the line, staff expedite orders fast. A staff member runs out and takes orders so good can be prepared by the time a customer arrives at the window. Today, a staff member took orders while the temperature was in the 40's and rain attempted to sprinkle down. Dedicated service! The food was outstanding (carne asada burritos) and the lemonade was tasty!

Called order in before lunch. Was told it would be ready in 5 min. Had to wait 15 min after I got there for it. Food not that great
